Structured access to published Observatory records, including evidence, source and review fields.
Public records only
The API is read-only, cached and rate-limited. Editorial-queue items, subscriber data, contacts, credentials and server operations are never exposed. The live index is authoritative for enabled collections.

Use of the API is subject to the Site's Terms of Use, including their warranty disclaimers and limitation of liability, and to these conditions:
1. Records are provided without any guarantee of accuracy, completeness or availability. Data may be delayed, incomplete, estimated or sourced from third parties, and third-party data remains subject to the rights, licenses and terms of its owners; do not resell or redistribute it where those underlying terms prohibit it.
2. The API is research infrastructure, not a control or safety system. Do not rely on it for safety-critical or life-critical decisions, aviation operations, medical-device operation, weapons targeting or other tactical or operational defense use, and do not control an autonomous machine based solely on API output.
3. Use the API only for lawful purposes and in compliance with applicable export-control and sanctions requirements. Preserve attribution, evidence and source fields where practical, respect the posted rate limits and caching guidance, and do not attempt to bypass technical restrictions or access non-public data.
4. Robot Observatory may modify, restrict or discontinue API access, collections, formats or limits at any time without notice.
