1. Acceptance
By visiting, viewing or using Robot Observatory (the “Site”), you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Site.
2. An impersonal research publication
The Site publishes general educational reference material, structured industry data, attributed news and research about robotics, drones and autonomous systems. It does not provide individualized engineering, aviation, safety, procurement, legal, medical, employment, defense or investment advice, and use does not create a professional, fiduciary or advisory relationship.
3. Publisher's exclusion
To the extent the Site discusses public companies, private funding, transactions or securities, Robot Observatory is an impersonal, bona fide publication of general and regular circulation. The Site and its operators rely on the publisher's exclusion in Section 202(a)(11)(D) of the Investment Advisers Act of 1940. Robot Observatory is not a registered investment adviser, broker-dealer or financial planner. Content is not tailored to any person's objectives, financial situation or needs and is not a recommendation to buy, sell or hold any security or other financial instrument.
4. No suitability determination
Neither inclusion in the Observatory nor a ranking, comparison, relationship or editorial mention represents that a machine, vendor, technology, operation, security or strategy is suitable, safe, lawful or available for a particular person, organization, airspace, site or mission.
5. Verify critical information
Specifications may be manufacturer claims; regulations, prices, funding, availability, deployments and news can change; and records can be incomplete or delayed. Confirm material facts with the linked primary source and the relevant manufacturer, regulator or qualified professional before acting.
6. Robotics, aviation and safety limits
The Site is not an engineering certification, flight authorization, airworthiness determination, safety case, maintenance instruction or operating manual. Never use Observatory content to control a machine, plan a flight, bypass safeguards, select a medical device, enter restricted airspace or make a life-safety decision. Operators remain responsible for training, permissions, risk assessment and compliance with current law.
7. Defense and dual-use material
Coverage of defense, surveillance and dual-use systems is descriptive public-interest research. The Site does not provide tactical, targeting, weapon-construction, evasion or harmful operational guidance. Inclusion does not endorse a system or its use.
8. Permitted use and intellectual property
You may use the Site for lawful personal, educational and internal research. Observatory text, organization, design and original graphics are protected by applicable intellectual-property law. Publisher headlines and linked materials remain the property of their respective owners. Do not misrepresent Observatory records, defeat access controls, disrupt the service or reproduce substantial portions as a competing database. The documented read-only API is the preferred route for structured access and remains subject to posted limits.
9. External services
Links and embedded references are provided for attribution and convenience. Robot Observatory does not control independent websites and is not responsible for their availability, content, products, privacy practices or security.
10. No warranty and limitation of liability
The Site is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of accuracy, completeness, fitness, availability or non-infringement to the extent permitted by law. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Robot Observatory, its operators, partners, officers, employees, affiliates and agents are not liable for direct or indirect loss, injury or damage arising from use of or reliance on the Site. Some jurisdictions do not permit every exclusion, so those exclusions apply only to the extent lawful.
11. Changes, severability and contact
We may change the Site or these Terms. Continued use after a posted change constitutes acceptance. If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in effect. Questions may be submitted through Contact.
